Makita adopts

Makita adopts "Breast Cancer Care" charity

Breast cancer is a cruel disease that effects someone every 10 minutes and Makita are attempting to raise £50,000 to help Brest Cancer Care provide help and support to victims of this disease. To highlight the cause Makita have launched a limited edition "pink" DF330DWXP Drill/Driver with £5 from every sale being donated to this extremely worthwile cause.

Celebrity builder Tommy Walsh is helping Makita to promote this cause and says "Breast Cancer Care is a charity close to my heart as it has affected my immediate family and I even had a close call myself".

"Mains power" from a cordless planer

Makita introduce the brand new BKP180 18v cordless planer as part of the 18v lithium family. Featuring a standard 82mm bed width, a planing capacity of 2mm per pass and a maximum 9mm rebate depth you will be forgiven for thinking that you are not plugged into the mains. The machine has a rubberised grip and is lightweight (just 3.4kg) and well balanced.
