The Makita JS1600 single speed shear is fitted with an impressive 300w motor offer a cutting capacity of 1.6mm in mild steel and 1.2mm in stainless steel and a minimum cutting radius of 30mm in a right handed operation . Fitted with a paddle style switch running the length of the motor housing offering a one handed operation, the Makita JS1600 also boasts a guard situated on the under belly of the machine which will protect the users hands from scrapping on the material to be cut. The cutting blade is in a shape of a square offering 4 cutting edges and can easily be rotated when blunt offering the user a quick tool down time.
