This variable speed reciprocating saw is fitted with Makita's latest anti vibration technology simply known as AVT, giving an ultra low vibration reading of 8.5m/sec this tool is suitable for the user whose application requires him to use a reciprocating machine for long periods of time. With a speed dial situated just below the on/off switch the speed can be pre-set to aid you in the cutting of those awkward materials such as stainless steel and cast iron, by setting the desired speed you will find a marked increase in blade life and quality of cut, not just a tool for cutting pipes it is now possible to cut materials such as green timber, polystyrene foam and even lightweight concrete blocks.
