The Makita BHP452 18v Lithium-ion 2 speed variable with reverse 13mm keyless chuck compact combi drill was launched to celebrate 35 years of Makita. This machine is suitable for drilling 13mm in steel, 38mm in wood and 13mm in masonry and weighing only 1.6kg making this one of the smallest 18v combi drills on the market.

The BHP452 features hammer action for masonry drilling and has a screwdriving option with 16 torque settings for precision screwdriving, the torque adjustment can be turned off for drill only mode in steel and timber. The unit is of mid-handle design which makes it well balanced and confortable to use and the rubberised grip reduces vibration and adds to the overall control of the machine. The 452 boasts torque of 50Nm in low speed and 32Nm in high speed which is ample for most demanding jobs around the work place and metal gears ensure all the torque is delivered to the work piece. A built in light illuminated the area in front of the chuck which is extremely handy in dimly lit areas and the 13mm keyless chuck is of quality construction designed for fast, single handed bit change.
