Makita Warranty

Makita has built a reputation for building high quality professional power tools and offering outstanding after service care which supports regular repair and part replacement. Makita will fix and service any Makita tool or accessory, even those models that may now be discontinued or obsolete.

Every Makita tool is checked and thoroughly inspected before they leave the factory and are guaranteed to be free of defects, in both workmanship and materials for a period of one year beginning from the date of purchase.

Please note that this guarantee does not apply where,

  • Repairs have been made or attempted by others
  • Repairs are required because of normal wear or tear
  • The tool has been abused, misused or improperly maintained
  • Alterations have been made to the tool
  • This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights

Makita's commitment to their product range means that they will always endeavour to keep a complete stock of all spares for current and older products within their range.

Warranty Returns

In the unlikely event that you have a problem with your purchase during the warranty period then simply return the complete tool to Makita (UK) Ltd enclosing a copy of the warranty claim form (below) and a copy of your proof of purchase. If inspection shows the trouble is caused by defective workmanship or material Makita will repair and return the item without charge.

Please choose from the following one of the 3 following options as to which suits you best and follow the return procedures that correspond to your choice.

  1. Return the faulty item to us and we will have it repaired/replaced and return to you
  2. Return the faulty item to Makita and they will repair/replace and return to you
  3. Take the item to any Makita service centre in your area along with a copy of your proof of purchase and they will repair/replace the faulty item and call you once the repair has been completed
