The Makita 6013B single speed rotary drill takes its design from the old fashion breast drills were all the weight was applied to the rear handle by the chest whilst holding the side handles. This drill is fitted with a slow running, high torque motor enabling the drilling capacities of 13mm in steel and 36mm in wood. With its slow running 550rpm motor producing a large torque the 6013B can also be used with a paddle inserted into the chuck and used as a paddle mixer for mixing paint and plaster. Over the years due to the power of this machine the motor assembly has been used as the power source for various other machines from roof panel formers to magnetic broach drills.
