Makita 3612 ½" Plunge Router

This single speed, ½" collet router is Makita's original ½" router and is still a popular choice today with the keen DIY user and industrial user alike. With a maximum plunge capacity of 60mm and fitted with a whopping 1650watt motor, it is the ideal machine for the kitchen fitter for those male and female cutters to join worktops together and for the cutting out of sinks and cooker hobs. There are numerous applications such as the making of cupboard doors or draw fronts where taking the router to the work piece can be fiddle due to the size of the router and the size of the material but by inverting the router and placing it into a router table you now have a mini spindle moulder. Supplied as standard with an adjustable side fence and a single spanner to change router cutters due to Makita's spindle lock mechanism, the 3612 will be around for many more years to come.
