Makita 3601B ½" Router

This single speed, ½" collet router is unique in the UK market as it is a `fixed base' router, the shape and design originates in America where the fixed base router is the norm. This machine is not for the wood working enthusiast, it is designed for the professional workshop where repetitive routing is required as the changing of depth is not like the standard plunge routers, to adjust the depth on this machine you need to turn the large outer ring which circumferences the motor housing. The template guides are attached to the underside of this router by 2 countersunk screws and the side fence only has a single bar where as most plunge routers use 2, don't let the appearance of this machine and lack of power put you off, this is a very good machine and would complement any professional workshop.
